DAL offices will reopen to the public on May 18, 2020, at a limited capacity. We will continue to offer alternatives to in-person hearings in the interest of minimizing unnecessary contact, but will conduct in-person hearings at DAL's Baton Rouge office starting May 18, 2020, if there are no available alternatives.
Visitors to DAL offices may be asked to answer screening questions regarding COVID-19 symptoms and possible exposure to same and to have their temperature checked upon entering the building. All visitors will be expected to wear a mask or face covering at all times while in the building, and will be asked to return at a later date if showing symptoms of COVID-19. Visitors should also be prepared to maintain six feet of social distancing between people, and to wait in their vehicles if the office's capacity has already been reached.
Please be advised that legal deadlines have been extended during the public health emergency. Please refer to Governor Edwards' proclamations for more information. If you have questions regarding what an extension of legal deadlines means for your particular case, you should promptly seek legal advice from an attorney.
